The course conditions seen during televised golf can leave golfers with some pretty grand ideas for their home courses. It's important to remember that the conditions we see on TV require more than meets the eye, and more than most budgets have to give 👇

A fantastic week completed again by the staff, ending with reasonable weather conditions after a tough start with the cancellation of Rose Ladies Golf on Monday. A few more tons of sand onto the greens & walkways, followed by a full course cut! Place taking shape & water reducing!

Crazy how much of a difference a bit of sun makes. Not only does the course look better, but staff and members feel better! We have struggled like every course this year, but it's nice to feel like better times are ahead!

I’m heading south today, swapping Scotland’s Golf Coast for England’s Golf Coast for the next week.

Thankfully most of the flooding has moved, so Course West Lancs Golf Club West Lancs Pro Shop will re open this morning. Please be aware that there’s still water lying on 10th fairway and some other small areas. The staff will be working in these areas to day to help improve them.

Not long now until the first Rose Ladies Golf event West Lancs Golf Club ⛳

What a week of golf with Formby Ladies Golf Club hosting the second event and ourselves S&A Golf Club hosting the 3rd.

Due to yesterday’s rain and high winds we still have flooding on the course West Lancs Golf Club West Lancs Pro Shop It will remain Closed, Wednesday 10th April. Next inspection will be 7am tomorrow morning.

Crosby Plate set up in progress, heavy rain showers again this morning but the Links holding up! Windy morning should help dry us up a little but will be tough scoring I’d imagine. Staff again pulled out all the stops this last week to help produce what we have in this weather☔️

Looking forward to hosting the first of your events of 2024 in only 10days time!

Thankfully a dry working day! 160 visitors playing our Spring Open, so it was a full course set up this morning with the staff. Managed to finish off the 8mm aeration on the greens, thanks to our Wiedenmann UK GXi8 Nice to see our greens cold seeding coming through as well 🌞🙏
