The ambition that Tom Wagner has for Birmingham City FC can't really be questioned - Β£2-3bn project, a desire to move in by August 2029*, 60 acres bought in and around the Wheels site. Yes, he knows the football side needs improving, but he's full speed ahead.
*he knows that's ambitious!
Gary Rowett full of praise for Jay Stansfieldβs composure on the winning goal for Birmingham City FC today - says atmosphere reminded him of his first home game against Watford almost a decade ago. Big win.
Confirmation that Birmingham City FC have handed the reins to former boss Gary Rowett for the rest of the season. Tony Mowbrayβs medical leave of absence is extended until the start of pre-season with Mark Venus also taking leave until then.
This interview is astonishingly open for a new owner who is barely weeks into the role - it's a must-listen for West Bromwich Albion fans of course, but I think there's a lot to ponder for any fan-base with overseas owners. Hear Steve Hermon's chat with Shilen Patel from 7pm tonight.

Mark Venus offers no excuses for limp Birmingham City FC performance against Middlesbrough. Wants to see some leaders step up and lead the fight. Dembele missed out with a cut on his foot which needed stitches. Unlikely to be back on Saturday.
Three changes for Birmingham City FC at home to Middlesbrough this evening as Laird, Dozzell and James return at the expense of Drameh, Sunjic and Bacuna. No Dembele in the squad tonight.
Coming up on BBC Radio WM on DAB in Birmingham this afternoon itβs Birmingham City FC at Millwall. Full commentary from Richard Wilford from 2.55.
Mark Venus made the point afterwards that Birmingham City FC need to be careful with fitness of Pritchard and Hall. Both could be important over run-in. Marc Roberts could make the squad at the weekend.
That was a big point for Birmingham City FC - stayed in the game, got a moment of quality from Pritchard for Jukey to add to his legend. Aiwuβs best 90, Hall looking sharp and well-timed subs too. Resting Stansfield, Paik and Miyoshi at the start will hopefully pay off at the weekend.
Well, that was the definition of a strange half, the visitors were dominant for long stretches, but Birmingham City FC took their chances when they came. Blues very stretched at times, but you can see why theyβve persisted with the press, itβs worked well a few times.
Three changes for Birmingham City FC at home to Southampton - Aiwu in for Marc Roberts who appears to have picked up a knock, Buchanan in for Drameh, Bacuna preferred to Tyler Roberts. Alex Pritchard and George Hall make the bench.
That was as consistent a 90 minutes as Iβve seen from Walsall FC Official in a long time - didnβt let going behind knock them off track. Mat Sadler has them playing with really good tempo, and theyβre a real handful from set pieces. Properly in contention for the play-offs now.
