Three Earth and Environment at Leeds researchers, Dr Will Homoky, Alastair Lough and Chiara Krewer, recently returned from a two-month expedition to the Antarctic to examine the role the cold polar seas play in removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere 🌊

Aids to ice navigation.....the sky. Where the sky is darker indicates water below, known as water sky. Where the sky is bright white, that is ice reflecting from the clouds and is called ice blink. This is a useful way to assist with ice navigation
