Earlier today, I announced at our regional COG meeting a historic joint effort that brings the two Boards of WMATA and Metro Washington Council of Governments together for a year long effort to shape a region wide transit vision. Appreciate Randy Clarke & WMATA Board partnership.

Enjoyed celebrating Autism Awareness Month with a group of young transit enthusiasts who made great announcements playing in our stations all month. Our team is passionate about inclusively serving our community where everyone is welcome. #wmata

The partnership followed cries for help from WMATA over budget concerns in FY 2025. The organization initially said it was facing a $750M budget shortfall in December of 2023. trib.al/Ei3mRrD

Today, MTPD’s fare enforcement efforts led to:

•1 arrest & recovery of a deadly weapon by a plainclothes officer
•3 people arrested for outstanding warrants
