Whaaaa? Just saw Leonora Carrington was born 6 April – near Chorley. Seen quite a bit of her work recently, including in the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art show “Beyond Realism” a couple of years back and last year at the Musée de Montmartre’s “Surréalisme au féminin?”🎨

I am poorly but to try and get some sunshine and vitamins I went for a walk round the block and came back with a bilingual French/English Francis Ponge tome and also a book by Bill Herbert both from Oxfam and the latter complete with teeny-tiny margin notes so that cheered me up.
