$104M of bail not set (or $4,300 per family) means $ not leveraged/lost by NY's working class families. It means $ that could be spent on things like groceries, housing, and healthcare - not bail.

No democracy has incarcerated as many people as the US, and yet nowhere is more dangerous. I will vote to override the veto of the Criminal Code Revision because the RCCA makes our code more equitable and prioritizes rehabilitation over incarceration.
