Elsewhere midwives in Tower Hamlets Tower Hamlets GP Care Group Tower Hamlets Baby Feeding Service have used frequent video appts, kept tongue tie services running and have partnered with childrenโs centres to provide evidence-based resources and information to women through virtual groups.
Today marks the end of #WorldBreastfeedingWeek โ an excellent time to reflect on midwives going above & beyond to give infant feeding support during #COVID . Great to see work being done by PRUH King's College NHS, incl. a dedicated phoneline staffed by midwives shielding at home

Advice on face masks changed to reflect guidance from NHS England

Advice on visitors/birth partners for hospital inpatients changed to reflect national guidance

Babies should not be advised to wear face masks because of the risk of suffocation
