Lots of interesting little iron gravemarkers in #Eidfjord , some similar in style to English ones, others more unusual. I can't recollect seeing those sloping stones supported on iron brackets here. Anyone know different?

If you want wood in churches, #Norway 's a great place to visit. Here's my favourite - the old church at #Olden . The best bit is the hatstands, made from polished sections of the tops of birch trees.

Also note they're only on one side of the church - the men's. 🇳🇴

Apologies for the bad photo of this war memorial in #Eidfjord , #Norway . The text translates as 'Peace and Freedom'. I paricularly liked the contrast between the somber stone and the sprightly butterfly. Unusual.

#Olden (great name) has two churches. This stripey pulpit's in the old one (1759, only cruciform church in the NordFjord district.) Some carved pew doors are made from the older stave church it replaced. Check in for #Woodensday !
