We need action not excuses from freeholders and developers on building safety. Leaseholders have been unable to move on with their lives for far too long. Freeholders and developers failing to act should expect to face the full force of the law.

Let me be clear: act now or face the consequences. Leaseholders must be able to get on with their lives. We in Government must do more, and I will continue to work with councils and regulators to see that those who move too slowly to make homes safe are held to account.
