As folks make decisions leading up to Aug 7 APSA #APSA2023 panel format deadline, an (incomplete) list of sections w/no in-person:
Cancelled all events: APSA Latino Caucus; APSA Sexuality and Politics Section (38); Foundations of Pol Theory
No in-person events: Comp Pol of Dev Countries; APSA REP Section;
I am so proud of all the caucuses that have taken strong stances on behalf of labor AND our discipline's most vulnerable - APSA REP Section APSA Latino Caucus APSA Urban Politics and virtually the entire pol. theory community
I only wish there were more action on the part of CP + IR folks
As co-president of @apsa_rep with Hannah L. Walker, we seek to stand with UNITE HERE Local 11 and also support our colleagues, celebrate their achievements, and transition leadership. We can do all of the above by moving panels to virtual platforms.
