University of Oxford is the world’s #1 ranked university. Academics at its colleges are regularly paid less than the living wage. We ran a survey this summer about their experiences. The results are damning. Here’s our new report on pay and conditions for casualised staff UCU

I wrote this piece years ago whilst researching for my PhD in Indo-British royal relations. The surrender of the gem was demanded in the treaty by the East India Company, together with the annexation of Punjab - all from its 10y/o king, Duleep Singh. 2/4
