🌾 Let's take the first train out of peatland extraction.
The Care-Peat partners were invited to Baupte peatland in PNR Marais Cotentin Bessin. 🇨🇵 About 1,000 ha of degraded peatland is being rewetted.
We had valuable discussions on best options for nature and climate restoration.
A full day of bogs, birds and butterflies
First stop: Care-Peat pilot site Landemarais 🇨🇵🇪🇺
Learning about site history, restoration challenges and experiment in project: stripping and transfer Sphagnum.
