A rainy day in Hautes Fagnes, the largest nature reserve in Belgium, where they've put a lot work into #peatland #restoration #Power2Peatlands 💦

Part two of my #Power2Peatlands excursion was to another area along the Roode Beek where they are restoring a blanket bog along a hillside. This first part, pictured, was restored in 2007, and an expasion of the peatland begins in a few weeks.

As part of the Care-Peat project, our research has provided evidence behind the initiative's call to take action on restoring and rewetting peatland.
