Somehow managed to miss out on a Spring Osprey this year, this bird over RSPB Exe Estuary & Darts Farm Bowling Green Marsh made up for it - thanks to Steve Cox Alphingtonbirder for the shout. Not a close photo but clearly not a fresh juv; maybe a failed breeder/2cy?

A summer plumaged Little Stint this afternoon on Exminster Marsh showing very distantly found by Alphingtonbirder - others have much better pics than mine - also 6 Hobby (2 north marsh and 4 over Station Road) and plenty of Swifts

Steve Cox Look closely as currently it’s a few sand dunes at Dawlish Warren, but soon it will be the golf course, then the town, then Starcross and how long to it being Topsham. 10 years, 20 years? But you can be sure it will happen while we continue to ignore climate change.

Alphingtonbirder Paul Kemp Yes, a fine mature male Red-veined Darter. The white stripe on the side of the thorax is also a good clue, and other species of darter aren't usually red at this time of year. There's been a small arrival in recent days.
