Fun fact: it's super easy to add alt text to images on twitter these days, and will quickly become an unconscious habit after you do it a few times in a row. You can even follow accounts like @/AltTxtReminder to help you get started

GIFs often come with some alt text, but it's usually not very descriptive. It's worth checking what's in the alt text and adding to it.

(Also, bots like Alt Text Reminder might not pick up GIFs)

I really recommend following Alt Text Reminder. You'll then get an excellent automated DM nudge if you ever forget to add ALT text to a tweet.
