Health Minister Robin Swann today met with representatives from Alzheimer’s Society Northern Ireland

They discussed the dementia care pathway, data collection on types of dementia, and heard updates on disease modifying treatments.

In 2020, I lost my Dad to Dementia. I always said that at some point I would do something to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society Northern Ireland, so here we are - on 5 May, I’ll be running the Belfast Marathon for him. Alzheimer's Society Dementia Advisor Valerie was at Cullybackey College this week giving a presentation on dementia and our services. Valerie says it was an interactive session and the pupils asked some great questions.

During his recently visit to Northern Ireland, Chis Larkin, Alzheimer's Society Associate Director of Services, met with the wonderful Singing for the Brain Group in Bangor. Chris was very warmly welcomed by people with dementia, carers, volunteers and staff.
