I'm so thankful to ISA, which has helped me succeed in a discipline that not always supported early career scholar parents in decades past. Thanks in big part to ISA's journals, mentorship, and conferences, I'm now in a place to 'pay it forward.'

Received an April Fools' journal rejection. Congrats to me! The reviewers totally made it seem like they hated the paper. They really got me! I'm excited to see the piece in print. :-)

It really is a great day to be a Dawg! Thanks to my students, colleagues, family, and friends. Congrats to Dr. Diana Downs, this year's other Regents' Professor. I'm so excited to keep using my 'tools' to better the world around us.

The MIP is growing! Since 2020, the Master of International Policy (MIP) Program has almost doubled in size. This year, about 65 students are participating, including the senior and junior cohorts along with those in the Double Dawgs pathway.

This article in the Chronicle of Higher Education highlights UGA's efforts to bring active-learning techniques into the classroom. Of course, such an article would not be complete without Dr. Leah Carmichael, Director of Active Learning! chronicle.com/article/can-th…

This was a super fun project coauthored with members of the UGA Big Data lab! We applied methods from a network analysis talk I saw my coauthors present on cell biology to understand how countries shift their relationships & create different polarity arrangements over time.

A really powerful opening to UGA's Active Learning Summit this morning! The UGA Department of International Affairs's own Dr. Leah Carmichael is the Director of Active Learning & is leading the way. No more sage on the stage! Our instructors & students love the new approaches.
