This Saturday Right to Roam will head to Vixen Tor on Dartmoor to highlight the fragmented nature of our current access model - by visiting an 'access island':

An 'access island' is a place where the public has the right to roam - but has to trespass to get there. Absurd!
There's at least 2,500 access islands in England, research by the great Lewis Winks Right to Roam has found. Time for a new Right to Roam Act

Today South Devon Right to Roam group returned to the Duke of Somerset's Berry Pomeroy estate, scene of a previous mass trespass. The pheasant shoot was in much evidence, with many carcasses (boosting carrion) & plastic shooting litter everywhere. Custodians of the countryside!
