The Thames Water 💧 EDM map show there are only 6 discharging assets, by far the worst is the Chesham STW at 1170 hrs. I have requested an urgent update. I don’t need to remind Thames Water this is a Smarter Water Catchment , a Flagship Chalkstream & non-compliant activity.

Explored Stowlangtoft Stream from Stowlangtoft (top) via Hunston (LL) to Badwell Ash (LR). Depressingly murky. Perhaps due to recent rain, but this precious chalk stream, flowing into the River Sapiston then Little Ouse, has 'bad' Phosphorus status 99% due to sewage. #MyWalk 🧵1/6

It was a busy day for Southern Water in Southampton Magistrates Court yesterday (1/4)

As an update, it’s Saturday and the pollution continues. Anglian Water have done nothing to try and stop this all week. More than 30 reported incidents in a year. People unable to walk through this. #Ecoli , faeces all sorts. EnvAgencyAnglia Do something!!

We are paying our water providers to treat our waste water & protect our environment, & we are paying our taxes for the gov to regulate them.

We now all know the dreadful state of our water industry. This wet winter has all too graphically highlighted the issue. But this winter is only a 1 in 7 year event, nothing exceptional & the system should cope. We have been let down by Ofwat Defra UK Environment Agency and Water UK
