Fall semester just began and KU students are already learning in the best possible way - by doing! Students in Field and Lab Methods in Ecology got out on Cross Reservoir this week to collect data with Dr. Ted Harris and the Lake Assessment Lab.

GTAing 🧬 BIOL350: Principles of Genetics 🧬 with Sharifu K Tusuubira this semester working with Kristina Holder and Jae Young Choi was one of the most rewarding semesters I've had at KU! Genetics is great, but I'm ready to shift focus back to restored prairie plants and soil this summer...! 🌾

Last, first day of grad school field work at #Konza ! It's always incredible and refreshing to see grasses and forbs start to grow after a prescribed burn. We reflagged plots and installed rainout shelters for their fourth and final season. 💗🌱

Nathaniel passed his thesis defense and is now officially out standing in his field!
