A huge congrats to ARC member Aaron Monson Dr Aaron Monson on winning the FameLab NI Final!

His 3-minute talk on the different types of stars in the night sky was out of this world! He now goes on to compete in the UK Final in June.

New paper out from ARC PhD student Toby Toby Rodel 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🦖🪐

'Using real lightcurves we calculate the detectability of simulated transits, determining how many planets should be found by TESS. We conclude that there should be more long-period planets discovered.'

A huge congrats to ARC PhD student Aisling O’Hare who has been selected for ESA's Archival Research Visitor programme!

Aisling will be spending several months visiting ESTEC in the Netherlands, researching how radiation from solar flares affects the Earth's atmosphere.

Thomas Moore (Thomas Moore), a PhD student in ARC, was recently interviewed for a New Scientist article!

Moore et al. investigated the first time that repeated periodic oscillations, over many cycles, have been detected in a supernova light curve.
