A lawsuit brought by the YLS Veterans Legal Services Clinic alleging decades of discrimination against Black veterans survived a motion to dismiss this week, making it one of the few cases of its kind to move forward.

Working with Black Veterans Project and NVCLR, the YLS Veterans Legal Services Clinic filed the lawsuit in 2022 after obtaining government records showing that Black veterans have been denied benefits at a higher rate than white veterans for decades.
