An absolute bombshell. Alameda County prosecutors allegedly kept Black people and Jews off juries in murder cases, believing they would not convict if the death penalty was in play.

Now dozens of capital cases from prior decades must be reviewed.

Yesterday we helped defeat a bill that would’ve made it harder for Black & Brown people to serve as jurors. Prosecutors shouldn’t be allowed to remove Black people from juries just b/c they’ve had a negative experience w/police. That is simply a reality of being Black in America
