The weather keeps getting colder here. One #physicsMyth is that winter occurs when we're furthest from the sun. But if that was the case, the southern hemisphere would experience the same seasons as us! Instead, it has to do with the tilt of the earth.

Dr. Daniel Fologea runs one of our biophysics labs. He must be doing something right because his students tend to make headlines such as Boise State Alumni and Friends top ten scholar Jason Ward and NSF fellowship awardee Zoe Hutchinson.

Being able to store huge amounts of energy would make it easier to expand the use of renewable energy.
