I had a very cordial, frank and productive conversation this morning with Ambassador Carlos Játiva and Marisol Nieto from the Ecuadorean embassy, discussing concerns about the negotiation of a free trade agreement between Canada and Ecuador.

Very interesting discussions at the Council of Forest Industries BC Council of Forest Industries conference in Vancouver, with Chief Terry Teegee, Minister Bruce Ralston and Dep. Ambassador to US Arun Alexander talking First Nations involvement, innovation and change, and of course softwood lumber.

BC again leading the way to allow mass timber technologies to help meet climate commitments and give the forest sector more domestic markets to ease reliance on US.
