Huge congratulations to you, Prof. Prof. Mizeck Chagunda. This is wonderful news. CTLGH is very lucky to have you. I wish you great success in this well-deserved role ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ. Such an inspiring news this morning. Congratulations!
Such a great honour to work with the most amazing scholars (that I met in Cambridge) in this multidisciplinary and multi-dimensional project. Thank you Gates Cambridge for amplifying our story.
We partnered with JR Biotek Foundation, CSIR-Crops Research Institute, & Oxford University Nanotechnology & Nanomedicine to co-host a Metagenomics Training Workshop in Kumasi, Ghana last month.
12 scientists from across Africa came together to learn cutting-edge FUNGAL sequencing techniques. What an incredible team.
Dr. Peter Sutoris has been incredibly generous in this reflective piece as I continue to fight an advanced recurring cancer. As past year&half have been incredibly challenging for me, my wife & family at so many levels, please keep us in your prayers & thoughts.bit.ly/438ScRT
So wonderful to see Gates Cambridge scholars working together Dr. Carol N. Ibe KNUST GatesCambridgeAlumni
I had the huge honour of meeting Dr Albert Arhin in Ghana. Albert was a fellow Gates Cambridge PhD scholar. He leads excellent research on ag-rural development, climate change mitigation, etc at KNUST. It's been a joy working together as one of JR Biotek Foundation's expert advisors.
It's a wrap. Indeed a wonderful honor to meet & reconnect with the most amazing scientists. The opportunities are enormous & JR Biotek Foundation will be back with more innovative initiatives to support African ag-scientists, institutions & farmers. May God bless Africa & the African people
Field work is hot, humid & wonderfully muddy.
We then traveled to @Csri_Crops in Kumasi where we are working w/ JR Biotek Foundation Dr. Carol N. Ibe SPUN & scientists from 7 African countries to trial new sequencing techniques
Having a fulfilling time in Kumasi. It gives me great joy to see our scientists, particularly African female scientists, grow in their research careers. It means a lot. I'm excited about our future direction/work on the continent and can't wait to see it all unfold. #AgriImpact
