🚛 Residents who signed up to our garden waste service in 2023 will receive two free collections in March to compensate for the collections they missed during last summer’s strike. 1/2

It was good to visit Herne Mill last week. Keeping this mill as a publicly accessible venue is important. It is a heritage asset, a polling station, a meeting place & I will work with the Friends group & others to help save this from any short-sighted, private KCC disposal.

Excellent to visit theSeasideMuseum yesterday, in my cabinet role, to discuss how we can best protect our smaller town museums for the long-term. These spaces are vital for learning, community outreach and preserving our area’s unique heritage. Please visit - they are fab!

A real buzz to the beginning of our schools poetry workshops yesterday. As part of their community engagement programme, the Canterbury Festival offer free music and poetry workshops to Kent schools. This year’s theme for National Poetry Day is ‘counting’.
