Kentucky, take note!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month – throughout the month, we raise awareness, increase communities' capacity to strengthen families, and educate children on their right to be safe. The pinwheels at the Capitol are a reminder to lawmakers of our role in child abuse prevention.

We must “respond loud and clear in November that public taxpayer dollars do not belong in private schools.”

The Democratic Women's Club of Kentucky met today in northern Kentucky & I was on hand to provide a legislative update. These ladies, & the ones who came before them, have been fighting for years for what is just & right, for not only women, but all Kentuckians.
