We polled a sample of our 900k The Wildlife Trusts supporters and found:
-they broadly reflect political make up of UK population
BUT
-two-thirds might switch their vote to another party at the next election on the basis of nature and climate commitments
Rishi Sunak has abandoned the environment. Surely, as a nation of nature-lovers, protecting wildlife and wild spaces should be at the heart of our Government? Read more in our blog by Elliot Chapman-Jones, Head of Public Affairs at The Wildlife Trusts. 👉 wildlifetrusts.org/blog/elliot-ch…
IF NOT NOW, WHEN? Brilliant weekend at #keepitwild 's wildfest. The hopeful tales of bison, bustards and beavers was a good tonic😁. Much talk about the urgent need to bring more people into nature's corner, including our worryingly indifferent politicians.😬
If bumblebees could vote, what would they ask governments to prioritise? 🤔
Our #BumblebeeManifesto gives bumblebees a political voice by bringing the key actions they need to the attention of political parties and voters 🐝

We’d urge any of the @defragovUK team who would like to see firsthand the role of beavers in restoring our landscapes to get in touch. We’d love to show how they can lead the way in nature recovery.

This piece by Tony Juniper is right – the evidence is clear. Beavers are a huge asset to our natural environment and people. Ministers must stop deliberating and act, it’s time to let Natural England get on and start issuing licenses for releases. 1/3

LOVE seeing what beavers get up to in different locations! Kent Wildlife Trust's Ham Fen was extraordinary- no reed cutting or water level management required (the beavers are doing all the work😁). At Knepp Wilding beavers are busy building a wetland complex way better than we could!
Am on a bison field trip to Kent Wildlife Trust's Wilder Blean. Think we might need to throw away the old woodland management handbooks!! Thanks PaulHadaway and colleagues for sharing😁.
