Our dowitcher is reddening up nicely as he moults into breeding plumage. Last spring he remained here at Cley until 5th May.

Smart male Ring Ouzels are one of the highlights of early spring. This one was at Salthouse yesterday evening, though there's been no sign of it today. (More pics as usual at cleybirds.com.)

Cley's celebrity Long-billed Dowitcher is really beginning to colour up now. Hopefully he'll remain until he completes his moult into full summer plumage, and hopefully he'll come nice and close for photos then.

There's a superb male Black Redstart at Weybourne Coastguard Cottages currently .

Great views of the Double-crested Cormorant in Co. Leitrim on Sunday. My first since 1989, it's been there for over two years. If it stays another year, it should develop its double crest! (More pics on cleybirds.com.)

As this testing shows 👇 stretches of the river are now becoming ecological dead, the River Test for God's sake!

And Environment Agency, Natural England do what exactly?
