Heavy rain over most of England this morning will slowly ease and clear towards the North Sea today. In Wales, light rain in Monmouth and Chestow will clear this morning. Improving from the west today with sunny spells and a few scattered showers. Feeling warmer than yesterday.

Dry now in #Barrybados but cold for April. Only 7°C with a moderate NE breeze. Tomorrow early rain will clear. Becoming dry and brightening-up with a sunny evening and a high of 12°C. Milder next week with temperatures nearer normal but still not settled and mixed.

A fabulous walk in woods nr Dinas powys. Had it all, woodland, streams, wild flowers, swings, to the soundtrack of blackbirds, wrens, robins,with herons kestrels & buzzards overhead. Rewarded with a half pint and packet of crisps at end😁 thanks Derek Brockway - weatherman BBC Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Some rain and a few showers in the forecast this weekend but some dry, bright weather and sunshine as well. Cool & breezy. Temperatures trending higher next week rising to 17C in Cardiff but at least the rain when it falls will be warmer with some drier, brighter spells.📈☔️🌦️

Mixed fortunes this morning! Cloudy in the south with light rain in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. Dry and much brighter in north #Wales , sunshine and cumulus in GreenField, Flintshire. Cooler than average with an E-NE breeze. Only 6C in Libanus and 10C in Cardiff.

A cool and mostly cloudy but dry afternoon in Cardiff and 11C. Sunny in parts of mid, west and north Wales with chilly air from the Arctic. 9C Plas y Brenin in Eryri.

Nice and dry across Wales this afternoon. Some cloud in the south. Sunny in parts of mid and north Wales and the west coast. The air is cool. Only 10C in Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire with a fresh northerly wind in Aberporth, Ceredigion. 15C in Swansea.

In tonight's Weatherman Walking I'm on the Taff Trail from Castell Coch to Bute Park. I visit Radyr hydro scheme, play Australian Rules Football, present a Local Hero Award and finish off with Cardiff parkrun.

Short walk today along the Snowdonia Slate Trail from Betws-y-Coed to Tŷ Hyll for a cuppa following the afon Llugwy past Swallow Falls. Wonderful!

I've wanted to climb Moel Siabod in Eryri for many years and finally did it today! And it didn't disappoint! Wonderful views and perfect weather. A very satisfying and great day out in Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) plus a visit to Plas y Brenin. Bendigedig! 👍🏻😁
