Tea was a vital provision on Discovery's many expeditions. On Captain Scott's 1901 Expedition alone, over 2,000lb of tea was taken to the Antarctic.
Some of this tea was from Tower Tea Ltd, London, seen in this illustration sourced from Look and Learn.

It's #WorldHeritageDay , so we're getting out & about at some of #Dundee 's top spots. From Discovery Point which travelled all the way to Antarctica and back to HMS Unicorn & the Verdant Works Museum, Dundee is certainly home to some of Scotland's most interesting history!

#today the centenary of #JamesCaird arriving at Dulwich College given by John Quiller Rowett as a memorial to Ernest #Shackleton . Shackleton had given Rowett the Caird in 1920.
