Last Thursday, San Marcos Station hosted the 2nd #ebike training class at Double Peak School. Deputy Rogers provided information about e-bike safety & rules of road to a total of 120 attendees. Mrs. Steele's 7th Historians celebrated their learning with an Enlightenment Salon Party! Ss played the part of their historical figure, shared their contributions to society and feasted on yummy treats. Cheers to learning history through such a fun and delicious activity!📖🤩

Such a fun lesson! Also inspired by That STEM Guy bird feeder challenge, I had my K & 2nd scientists learn about birds and what they need in their bird feeders. Perfect #STEM Springtime activity for all grades! 💡🌎🦜

5th grade classes were each able to step inside the Cosmic Tours portable planetarium in our PAC. Ss have been studying stars and space in Science. They toured space, pointed out constellations and learned more about our galaxy. HUGE thanks to Double Peak PTO for finding this! ✨🪐🚀

Mrs. Steinberger’s firsties learned about the 8 phases of the moon. They were assessed by making the moon phases out of Oreo cookies! Yum!

Last week was National DNA Day! Ms. Sanchez's 5th graders celebrated today with a Strawberry DNA Extraction experiment! A big thank you to @illuminainc for donating the supplies for this experiment to her classroom! So much learning about genetics and the importance of DNA! 💡🧬
