I cannot overstate how much I see loneliness play a role in mental health in the work I do. Loneliness is truly an epidemic in this country. We aren’t designed to be islands. Reach out, care and connect!

In early 2023, the US Surgeon General released a report highlighting the epidemic of loneliness and isolation within the US.

Since then, our research group dove into this topic to understand loneliness, its correlates, & potential inspiration for community based interventions.
