The NHS is boosting health support for new mums, publishing new guidance to provide more comprehensive six to eight-week check-ups after birth.

The check-ups cover mental health, physical recovery, infant feeding and family planning.

The latest MBRRACE UK report on maternal deaths was released today and there still remains an almost 4 times higher rate in the disparities between Black and white Women.

More needs to be done to change the disparities we all know too well.
