Now we have traction, €3.8 billion was committed to the first milestone of

The Oireachtas PAC need to investigate what that’s been spent on, how much sponsorship money RSA Ireland have taken from car companies and why they’ve failed to meet their own targets

This numpty driver causing delays heading towards Dublin too

I'd love to know how many minutes of delays cars drivers cause to train passengers between Lansdowne Road and Booterstown each week? Dublin Commuters South East on Track Iarnród Éireann

On RTÉ Radio 1 today I spoke about the proposed mandatory 30 minutes of road safety policing per shift.

This is not the best use of Garda time.

There are far better enforcement options available - where are our red light cameras and online reporting!!?

Dublin City Council is not banning cars from the city centre, far from it.

The plan is to give priority to walking, cycling buses and trams by stopping through traffic just in a part of the core city centre while still allowing car access.

This is totally misleading journalism:

Vision Zero IE According to RSA Ireland Irish roads are some of the safest in Europe. But of course most roads in Ireland don't have any people walking & cycling on them because they're too afraid of dangerous drivers.

For those in the back:

The blue is legally defined as the city centre.

The yellow (my rough outline) will still allow cars in and out, but it will be harder to drive through.

The red lines on the quays are around about where the bus gates will be.

This isn't a car ban.

Unfortunately RSA is worse than useless in performing their statutory remit on producing data on traffic collisions. If they didn't exist then the Gardaí and local authorities would work together to identify dangerous areas. Their existence prevents this from happening.

A quick update on the North Circular Road scheme.
The process has taken too long already😡but there are a few good points of progress:
-it has gone from interim to permanent scheme so no plastic bollards!🥳
-the crossings at Belvedere and Fitzgibbon will get signalised lights🚦

Someone might want to tell RSA Ireland CEO Sam Waide that people can also take the Bus, Train or Luas to get to work or school… plenty of other options than the private car

Well if the Dublin Commuter Coalition aren’t the target market for armoured motor vehicles, than I don’t know who is???

I’m still not getting out of their way if they beep me coming out of the Brown Thomas car park whilst I slow walk down south William st.

Minister Jack Chambers TD needs to have the RSA Ireland CEO removed.

He gives the game away here by showing his focus is on NCT and driver tests - in short, how RSA makes 💰💰💰, rather than on addressing increasing road deaths.

This is why transport advocacy is so important, 30+ groups put on the pressure and the truth comes out very quickly

RSA Ireland need to immediately release the anonymized collision data to Councils, so they can make data driven decisions in road design

Just the RSA Ireland being lazy and ignoring their responsibility to improve road safety... and using the classic excuse of 'GDPR something somthing'.

RSA needs to be completely revamped.
