Yesterday I visited the Paso del Norte Children's Development Center IELC (Inclusive Early Learning Center) where I had the honor to read a story to the kiddos as part of the ‘Read Across El Paso Initiative’.❤️ The book I read was titled “A Friend for Henry” a very sweet story!

The Local Health Authority Order will take effect at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021. The El Paso County Commissioners Court applauds the efforts that our Local Health Authority is taking to safeguard the health of all El Pasoans.

Last year, I took action against Governor Abbott during the peak of the pandemic when El Paso was one of the worst COVID-19 hotspots throughout the Nation. I am thankful to those members of City Council who took action in support of Dr. Ocaranza’s decision yesterday.

Today was the final day of the Binational Vaccination event held at the Tornillo Port of Entry. 30,000 vaccines were administered to maquiladora workers and Juarez community. None of this would have been possible without our partners! THANK YOU! 🙌🏻🙏🏻
