Region 11 welcomed Texas Education Agency Commissioner Mike Morath this morning! First on the agenda was a visit to Alice Contreras Elementary in Fort Worth Independent School District. Then, Commissioner Morath joined us at ESC Region 11 to speak with local superintendents and meet with our ESC staff members.

#FWISD D/HH, O&M, & VI professionals collaborated with ESC Region 11 to support babies, toddlers, & their families with sensory development. It was amazing to see them in action⭐️

Today at ESC Region 11, Baby's Day Out was all about enriching sensory development for babies and toddlers with visual impairments, hearing differences, or deaf-blindness (ages birth to three) alongside their parents/guardians!

That's a wrap on our spring Deaf Education Administration Leadership (DEAL) Meeting! Deaf education leaders from across the state came together to dive into policies, procedures, upcoming events, and resources related to serving students who are deaf and hard of hearing.
