“With no legal duty for the provision of parks and green spaces, it is very important that the politicians, who will make decisions about the future of parks and green spaces, commit to ensuring this public provision across the city is maintained. bristol247.com/news-and-featu…

It’s time to make this an election issue.
Despite a promise to cut pesticide use by half, still Bristol City Council and thousands across the city regularly use these harmful chemicals. It must stop.

The decision on allotment rents has been 'called in'.

The call-in committee meets this evening to investigate whether the decision process breeches the council's own guidelines.

We've submitted some lovely questions for their consideration!

It is being debated at full council tonight. The public can attend so do go along.

This petition needs 3,500 signatures with a Bristol postcode to trigger a Full Council debate.
Only one Full Council left under the outgoing Mayor & cabinet, so Bristolians need to get signing to debate it in April

We understood the reason for this whole consultation around allotments was partly to make allotments more accessible. How does an increase in more than 100% in some cases make anything more accessible?

We were also somewhat concerned to hear the @bristolcouncil allotment price rises described as nothing more than the cost of a price of a cup of coffee.
As if all allotmenteers can afford to frequent cafes.
