🌍🧑‍🌾Yesterday was an eventful day at the EU parliament for advocates of farmers', Europeans', & ecosystems' health.

Several organizations gathered to discuss the dangers of pesticides. Afterward, a gathering called for a new agriculture prioritising health & sustainability.🌱

#EPplenary adopted use of urgent procedure for #CAP revision ➡️ this means it will be voted in 10 days by MEPs. We need a #CAP strengthening farmers in value chain & supporting their transition towards sustainable practices eg. organic - this proposal does not deliver on this!

Instead of lowering environmental ambitions, the #CAP should support farmers in the #EUGreenDeal and ensure fair livelihoods.

On Wednesday, we had our IFOAM Organics Europe's council meeting! We discussed political updates, organic development across Europe, and prepared for the upcoming election.

🌱Today, COMAGRI voted on the #PRM legislation, crucial for fair organic plant breeding.

Organic breeders need seed registration changes, which also protect biodiversity and align with the #EUGreenDeal & #Farm2Fork .
