Great to be at the ESA_ExoMars Science Working team meeting this week representing our wonderful Rosalind Franklin ExoMars PanCam team. Can’t wait for 2028!
End of sol 2, or martian day.
It was time for Amalia, #RosalindFranklin twin rover, to travel for nine metres in search of a good place to drill and collect samples.
Scientists in the control room used the high-res camera PanCam to spot interesting rocks, and commanded the

#RosalindFranklin 's robotic twin, known as Amalia, has completed its first drive through a Mars terrain simulator for its latest scientific operations.
The goal: prepare for the real mission on Mars in a realistic scenario.
We are providing more than £10 million to replace a Russian-made instrument on the ESA_ExoMars Rosalind Franklin rover. 🔴
The new instrument, named Enfys, will be led by Aberystwyth University with support from MullardSpaceScience, RAL Space and Qioptiq Ltd. 🛠️
