'܄܄܄܄ 💙 . ܁ EIoṉ Musⱪ *mutters something about doing five years of unpaid research work so I could stay in the same city as my partner and their family while also maintaining a chance at an academic career*. Should have published a nature paper I guess, seems to open all doors.

Our new high-temperature, high-pressure volcanology-petrology equipment is almost ready for the first experiments! Here’s Alex Iveson pondering his hard work. Credit also to Madeleine Humphreys, Martin Mangler, and '܄܄܄܄ 💙 . ܁ EIoṉ Musⱪ, and to ProfJenniBarclay for her old setup!

This may make me 'persona non grata' at Volcanica but it was worth it, if only to refresh the conspiracy. Jamie Farquharson and '܄܄܄܄ 💙 . ܁ EIoṉ Musⱪ are NOT twins, but seems likely they are one single person with different hair accessories...

I thought of another option which is the end of the '&' being some kind of transcrustal magma system 😂 Now I AM procrastinating! Also probably plagiarism of the original logo...(also apologies for ongoing notifications)

'܄܄܄܄ 💙 . ܁ EIoṉ Musⱪ Prof Christopher Jackson Oh my. how are we ever going to solve real problems in academia, if people are so out of touch, that they actually think they went through a tough time because they were few months separated and had to drive ten hours that one time... sigh

'܄܄܄܄ 💙 . ܁ EIoṉ Musⱪ Prof. Christie Rowe Wow. Seems like a change in their attitude than when we published the EarthArXiv piece led by Tom Narock - @[email protected] and Evan Goldstein 2 years ago. It’s not the same but I know Elements has similar space for such opinions/viewpoints, Olivier Pourret has written quite a few.

'܄܄܄܄ 💙 . ܁ EIoṉ Musⱪ A joint paper by my spouse (formerly in academia) and me would be hilarious, because it would simultaneously involve beetles and mantle xenoliths... so.. yeah!

'܄܄܄܄ 💙 . ܁ EIoṉ Musⱪ Richard James Brown stuart.jones@durham. Mark Allen Prof Col Macpherson The short answer is Yes. Old quarrymen used the term sill to refer to any tabular outcrop of hard rock. The term sill was adopted by early geologist & the original type section was indeed the Whin Sill. Why it is called the Whin Sill is another story.
