Deeply saddened at the death of the great fiddle player Seán Keane, best known as a founder member of the Chieftains, and former member of the Castle Céilí Band along with John Dwyer and others who came together for a reunion performance at the Féile John Dwyer a few years ago.

Tonight at 9pm RTÉ Radio 1 a special programme with piper Paddy Keenan. It would be impossible to fit everything this man has done into an hour but we did our best! Tune in if you can. RTÉ National Concert Hall ITMA

The Goodman Trio played a brilliant set, bringing Féile John Dwyer to a thrilling finish. Emer Mayock, Mick O'Brien and Ciara Ní Bhriain breathed new life into the music collected by piper Canon James Goodman just after the famine. Wonderful music. Goodman would have been proud!

Fabulous concert at St Patrick's Gateway, Waterford, to end Féile John Dwyer for 2022. The first performers were Eibhlín de Paor, Connie O'Connell, Bryan O'Leary and Caoimhín Ó Fearghaíl. Twas like a visit to Sliabh Luachra!
