Indonesian security forces violently dispersed a peaceful protest against the military occupation of West Papua. It is reported that at least 65 have been arrested in Jayapura, West Papua, and 15 activists were arrested a day before while distributing leaflets for the protest.

3/1/24 Puncak, West Papua

Civilians Warinus Murib, AM, and DK (17) were arbitrarily arrested and tortured by Indonesian soldiers. They were later found to be “innocent”.

Warinus died. Nothing, not even an apology.
