We were delighted to host 4 breakout sessions focusing on the key themes of patient safety. Thank you to Dr Peter McBride and Dr Dr Gabriel Scally for their contribution to Breakout 1 ‘Building an Open and Just Culture’ which is key to ensuring learning can be shared and effected.
Once again a light is shone on the 'culture' of openness and transparency.
Important story to follow - Sir Robert Francis KC contributing - as with Sir John O'Hara he recommends a statutory individual duty of candour!

Professor Alice Roberts Prof Alice Roberts💙 launching ‘Crypt’, the third volume in her magnificent historical trilogy. The well attended event in @waterstones in Clifton was brilliant, and Alice read from the book. Awful events 1000 years old are still happening today.

Direct/indirect health/economic gains r clear.
When will the lesson be learned that 'targeted' (aka insufficient) vaccination only based strategies just aren't enough?
Winter obv the worst as flu/RSV join in, but SARS2 = multiple waves/yr. Acute AND chronic disease r rife.
Is this cost part of NICE/JCVI/Department of Health and Social Care
budgets?
