Jeff Sharlet Dartmouth 🌲 Those cops were brutal to me. I promise I did absolutely nothing wrong. I was standing with a line of women faculty in the their 60s to 80s trying to protect our students. I have now been banned from the campus where I have taught for 34 years.

I need a word for being simultaneously incredibly proud and heartbroken. These students, knowing that arrests were coming & camp would be cleared sat this afternoon w/ UCLA EVC Darnell Hunt and told him “We are not leaving. We will not let you taskforce us out of divestment.” 🔥

Closing a BELOVED place of comfort for all the first day of finals just to underline how much admin is not here for our students, staff, faculty, community.
