This will form part of our Historic England funded ‘Historical Perspectives of Homelessness’ exhibition in October

We’ve been in York today hearing from LIFE - Lived Insights From Experience Good Organisation CL_York and others, about this fascinating collaborative work to put people’s direct experiences at the centre of conversation and change.

Latest figures published by the ONS registered 741 deaths of people affected by homelessness in England and Wales.

Over 13% were attributed to suicide.

We’re really excited to be working with John Schofield on a NERC grant funded study 'Homelessness in a Changing Climate: Co-creating Resilience through Heritage and Tourism in Nuuk', alongside the Ilismatusarfik Centre of Arctic Welfare in Greenland.

We’re working with the Institute for Social Justice to identify how community led tourism can act as a catalyst for change within York.
