After cycling to Holes Bay early yesterday AM I headed back to Wareham via Lytchett Fields where ian ballam had found a drake Garganey, and then Holme Lane where OTBT birder and St Aldhelms Birder relocated the *extremely wild* Barnacle Goose birdsofpooleharbour Dorset Bird Club
Last work party of the year at Alners Gorse Butterfly Conservation ๐ฆ reserve. The mosaic of grassland, scrub and woodland supports one quarter of all British moths as well as rare butterflies, plants, insects, big adder pop, + songbirds inc Nightingale. A real gem thanks to BC Dorset ๐ฆ

Very shortly it will also be reptile breeding season. With this in mind, our field officers will be going round our reserves and putting up banners over the coming weeks ๐๐ฑ
