Huge congratulations to Tower Commander Mick Nield for his Gallantry Award. Mick received the award for leading the volunteer crew (Giles Harrison & Phil Leete) on a shout last year where 2 casualties were pulled from the River Thames - resulting in 2 lives saved.

Last week we hosted our Sea Shanties Night to commemorate 200 years of the RNLI - Ordinary people do extraordinary things 💫

We are proud to have raised over £450 for the RNLI and had a great time doing so with the HogEyeMen leading us through some classic sea shanties 🏴‍☠️

Greenwich Yacht Club (Official) Nice to see a swarm of sailing boats ⛵️as they passed Woolwich on the outbound leg and to see the rowers 🚣‍♀️powering back to base later in the day.

Here are the winners of The Thames Multi-Sport Challenge with our young presentation party and Jo Wightman (right). Jo thought up and organised the event, and it was a great success. It's in the calendar for next year, though we could have done with more volunteers to help.
