Huge congratulations to Tower Commander Mick Nield for his Gallantry Award. Mick received the award for leading the volunteer crew (Giles Harrison & Phil Leete) on a shout last year where 2 casualties were pulled from the River Thames - resulting in 2 lives saved.

It has been a very emotional last shift here Tower RNLI. My awesome crew have been Al Kassim, Nathan James & Colin M. Some blustery training afloat, team meal & some walks down memory lane. So that is it. Commander CW105 signing off Duty.🥲 #StaySafe & #LookOutForEachOther ❤️

Tonight, the legend that is @rescueshrek1 is hanging up his helmet as Thames Commander after 11 years at Tower.

Chris, you’ve been a fantastic colleague, mentor & friend to so many over the years & will always be a part of the Tower family. Don’t be a stranger!
